Z is for Zoot
Who better to close the Muppabet with than Zoot himself. At the end of each episode of the Muppet Show, the band plays under the closing credits, and it is Zoot who plays the final note of the closing melody. So it is fitting that he is also here now blowing that final note one more time.

Y is for Yorick
Yorick is another guy who goes back to the beginning on “Sam and Friends” with Henson back in the late 50’s. It seems like a lot of characters on that show were either eating something or being eaten BY something. Some gag’s will never stop being funny.

X is for Extremes
Okay, I admit it. Extremes for X is a bit, well extreme. But it is really hard letter to try and find a match for this letter. So when I came across The Extremes I knew we had our “X”. They first appeared in the Jim Henson Hour in ‘89 performing “Neutron Dance” and “Maneater”. That show and the Extremes didn’t make it past 3 and a half months before it was cancelled.

W is for Waldorf and Statler
Always there to offer constructive criticism for those performers on stage at the Muppet theater. For as much as they hate everything they see they still always seem to make it to every show.
If you like this artwork and would like it on your chest…head over to Threadless to buy my Waldorf and Statler shirt design.

V is for Dr. Phil Van Neuter
Dr. Phil is another talented alum from Muppets Tonight. There he hosted “Tales from the Vet” with his monster assistant/brother-in-law Mulch. Funny stuff.

U is for Uncle Deadly
This is one creepy looking Muppet. I’m always surprised that this guy has been around since the original Muppet Show days. He goes back a bit and has a unique design compared to all the rest of the group.

T is for Thog
Thog is one of those guys who I had no idea what his name was but I always remember seeing him on the Muppet Show as one of the giant full body puppets that can run around on stage. It’s nice to see him get some good facetime in the trailers for the upcoming The Muppets movie.

S is for Scooter
Where would the Muppet Show be without Scooter? Well, probably performing in the street somewhere since Scooter’s uncle is the guy who owns the theater.

R is for Rowlf
Rowlf has always been one of my favorites because of his dry and down to earth sense of humor. One of the best moments in the Muppet Movie was when we get a duet between Rowlf and Kermit. It’s great to hear the two voices (both from Jim) blend so well together and at the same time each be so distinctive.

Q is for Quongo
Quongo is a pretty obscure character from the Muppet Show. As you could imagine, with such a long list of potential Q’s, Quongo was pretty lucky to get the call.
